New toll rates coming for East-West corridor of Highway 2000

New toll rates for the East-West corridor of Highway 2000 are scheduled to take effect on Saturday, July 2.

The class one toll rate on the Vineyards leg will become $400, with $140 being applicable on the Spanish Town leg, $200 on the Portmore leg, and $100 on the May Pen leg.

The class two toll rate on the Vineyards leg will become $580, with $220 being applicable on the Spanish Town leg, $320 on the Portmore leg, and $160 on the May Pen leg.

The class three toll rate on the Vineyards leg will become $1,100, with $400 on the Spanish Town leg, $610 on the Portmore leg, and $320 on the May Pen leg.

Provisions are in place for annual increases in toll rates for the highway, but the yearly provision is not always applied.
