Vybz Kartel says he is the 'King of the Dancehall'

Move over Beenie Man. Vybz Kartel is claiming the title of King of the Dancehall.
The incarcerated deejay will be releasing an album which will hit stores on June 10th, an album which music insiders say will cement his place as the best deejay of his generation.
The album, which will hit stores June 10, can be pre-ordered exclusively on iTunes, starting May 6th. It will be released by Adidjahiem Records/TJ Records in association with Zojak World Wide, which will do distribution.
The 14-track set contains exclusive, never-before-released tracks from the 'Worl' Boss'. Recorded by the prolific artiste before his incarceration, the tracks have been carefully completed by renowned dancehall producer Linton 'TJ' White of TJ Records and Adidjahiem Records.
Fans who have been longing to hear Kartel at his best will not be disappointed.
"King of the Dancehall is not just a 14-song compilation, it's a masterpiece, an album that encompasses the very essence of Adidja Palmer and, by extension, the Jamaican experience," Vybz Kartel wrote in a statement.
"King of the Dancehall will reinforce Vybz Kartel's status as not just another self-proclaimed king, but as the people's champion. The man who has created a movement like no other in dancehall."
As the title suggests, the album is dancehall to its core.
"This album will bring its listeners into the world of hard-core dancehall, not some 'pop music', watered-down version. It will give you a peek into my Jamaica. Not the one on the tourist board ads, but the real Jamaica ... dancehall Jamaica," Kartel added.
