Cops step up bid to nab alleged murderer who reportedly threatened judge

The police in Westmoreland are ramping up their efforts to nab a farmer who is being sought in connection with the gun slaying of a man in the parish earlier this month as part of a very unusual development.
Burton Shearer, 47, is accused of the murder of Fabian Cooper, aka ‘Yellow’, who was shot dead at his gate in Grange Hill, Westmoreland on May 12, shortly after a case Shearer had against Cooper was thrown out of court.
Interestingly, Shearer had allegedly issued threats against the judge who presided over the case, and a lawyer who was also involved, after Cooper was freed.
Now the Westmoreland police are seeking the public's assistance in locating Shearer. They are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts, to make contact with the nearest police station.
Shearer also goes by the alias ‘Bop’, and is of Church Lincoln District in Grange Hill.
