House break-ins on the rise in Manchester

Authorities in Manchester are calling for residents to make greater efforts to secure their houses in light of the continuous rise in the number of break-ins being reported in the parish.
Authorities say since the start of the year, they have received reports of close to 100 cases of break-ins in the parish.
"The development is the latest problem that authorities are grappling to deal with," police toldLoop News.
"Since the start of the year, we have had about 90 reported break-ins," said Head of the Division, Superintendent Gwendolyn Cameron Powell, who has warned that systems are being put in place to address the development.
Police say they are also keeping a close watch on a number of town centres where persons believed to be involved in the Lottery Scam trade are now converging.
"These areas are now being used by some of these Lottery Scam players to gather and flaunt their wealth," he said.
