JDF recruit drowns while on training

A Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) recruit died on Friday while taking part in a training exercise at Up Park Camp in St Andrew.
The recruit, Romario McLeod, reportedly drowned while learning to swim in a pool.
As a result, the JDF has dispatched a team to offer grief counselling to his relatives.
The young recruit was reportedly on his second attempt at becoming a member of the JDF, having failed with his first bid.
The soldier in the making started training last December and was scheduled to graduate in July.
