Report on PNP’s election defeat completed

The appraisal of the People’s National Party’s (PNP) defeat at the hands of the Jamaica Labour Party in the February 25 general election has been completed.
Julian Robinson, chairman of the 11-member committee that conducted the assessment, said the report will be submitted to the party’s executive Monday.
From there, the findings of the report will be discussed at the regional executive council meetings in May, then at the National Executive Council (NEC) in June.
After getting feedback on the report, it will be submitted to the two-day NEC meeting in July.
The party has been in turmoil leading up to the election. But the defeat further fractured the party, with feuding and calls for resignations of officials spilling out into the public.
