Three teens charged with Luciano’s son’s murder remanded again

The three teenaged boys who are charged with the stabbing death of Menelik McClymont, the son of reggae singer Luciano, were remanded in custody on their third appearance in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

The three, 18-year-old Jerome Coombs, 18-year-old Camanie Shaw, and Nashlyn Anderson,18, were told that they would be brought back to court on May 26 as their case file was incomplete.

As they were informed by Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece that they would remain behind bars, the teens seemed nonchalant and even found time to share a joke among themselves.

However, Luciano, who appeared dressed in a beige business suit, was not in a mood to smile.

He appeared upset and it was clear that he was still mourning the untimely demise of his son.

Menelik was stabbed several times at Maths Unlimited at Skibo Avenue in Kingston in February after a dispute developed among the teens.

He later died in hospital.

His murder forced Luciano to postpone a tour of the United Kingdom.
