UPDATE: Schoolgirl's body found after flooding in St Thomas

The body of one of the students washed away by flood waters in St Thomas on Tuesday has been found.
The body of Brittany Cowell, a student of Paul Bogle High School, was reportedly found along a roadway in the parish on Wednesday morning. She was among three students washed away after heavy rainfall lashed the parish.
The other students were reportedly rescued by residents.
Reports were that the students were on their way home when they were swept away after a river in the area overflowed it banks.
Up to late Tuesday night, several roads in St Thomas remained flooded after heavy rainfall across the parish. The affected roads included Church Corner main road in Morant Bay, the Roselle to Belvedere road, Lyssons, and the Port Morant and Arcadia main road.
The Golden Grove to Hordley Crossing main road was impassable, as the Plantain Garden River overflowed its banks.  
In some cases, motorists who attempted to cross some of the flooded roads had to be rescued by firemen and the police.
