Shopkeeper killed in St James

A fifty-two-year-old shopkeeper of Retirement in St James was shot and killed at Barnett Oval in the parish on Wednesday.

Reports from the Mount Salem Police are that about 9:15 a.m., Margarita Henry was at her business place when she was pounced upon by armed men in a motorcar who opened gunfire hitting her several times.

The police were and summoned and on their arrival, Henry was seen lying face down in a pool of blood.

Henry was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
