No positive ID of cops accused of shooting Alpha student

None of the five cops detained in the shooting of a student of the Convent of Mercy Academy (Alpha) has been pointed out in identification parade held on Friday.
Attorney Peter Champagnie told Loop News that the process was completed Friday night and that in the end none of the men was pulled out of the lineup.
The five cops from the Mobile Reserve Division were arrested by the Independent Commission of Investigations(INDECOM) on Monday.
INDECOM launched an investigation into the shooting injury of the female student, aged 15 years, following the incident last week Thursday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of North Street and Mark Lane in downtown Kingston around 7:15 am and triggered fiery protests in the downtown area.
The student underwent emergency surgery at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) and is still recovering. She’s expected to do a follow up surgery.
The report received by INDECOM was that a man who was operating a ‘robot taxi’ transporting students of Alpha and St Georges College, was allegedly stopped by the police.
It was further alleged that after his taxi stopped, the police opened fire at the vehicle. One of the bullets hit one of the students in the head.
