Jamaican woman allegedly raped in Trinidad



Police are investigating reports that a Jamaican woman was raped over the weekend in Trinidad & Tobago.
According to reports, the 26-year-old woman arrived at her home in Orchard Gardens, Chaguanas, at around 5:00 am Sunday when she was accosted by a man, who then placed a knife to her throat and demanded that she hand over her belongings.
The woman told the man that she had nothing, however, he then proceeded to force her into her home. The man then allegedly raped her, and then escaped through the front door.
The suspect is being described as black, about five feet, five inches tall, medium built, with a dark complexion.
He wore a red hat, white vest, and black jeans.
The woman was taken to the Couva Health Centre where she was medically examined.
