Brit busted at airport with cocaine — police
A 22-year-old British national has been busted at the Sangster International Airport, in St James, attempting to export cocaine, according to the police.
He has been identified as Jason Robinson, a security guard of Harold Road, in Birmingham, England.
He has been charged with possession of, dealing in, and attempting to export cocaine.
Robinson was held on April 30 attempting to board a flight to England when he was searched and cocaine weighing 3.5 lbs found in his luggage.
Robinson will appear on Friday, May 06.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Sydney Edwards, barber of Wakefield, Trelawny was arrested at the airport two days earlier and slapped with charges of possession of, and dealing in ganja.
Edwards was reportedly seen at the airport in a motorcar acting in a manner that aroused the suspicion of the lawmen.
The vehicle, which was parked in the departure area, was subsequently searched and 23 parcels of ganja, totalling 1.5 lbs, seized.
Edwards is to appear in the St James Parish Court on Wednesday, May 11.
