Child rapists posing as taxi drivers: Eight female students attacked in three weeks
In the last three weeks, approximately eight female students have been attacked or sexually assaulted by criminals using the scheme, Loop News understands.
It's a development that has been confirmed by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse (CISOCA), which has issued a call for parents to be more vigilant.
"The reports are true," Head of CISOCA, Superintendent Enid Ross-Stewart told Loop News.
"In the last three weeks we have received reports of at least eight cases," the senior officer said.
Police said they have intensified their operations to go after persons responsible for the illegal act and have also issued a strong call for parents to be more careful about the type of transportation they allow their children to take.
