Holness meets with family of slain female cop

Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday met with the family of Corporal Judith Williams, who was gunned down on her way to work last week Thursday.
“I just met with the family of slain female police officer. I have been assured that the police are using all resources available to them to find the killers,” Holness announced on his Facebook page late Monday.
“The government is supporting the police to ensure they have the tools to catch these criminals,” he added.
The prime minister noted: “I grieve for this family and all who have lost loved ones in the fight against crime. I call on all Jamaicans to join together against this crime monster.”
The 54-year-old cop was shot six times not far from her home in McIntyre Villa, also known as Dunkirk, last Thursday and died after midnight.
One man has since been held for questioning in her death.
News of Williams’ death sent shockwaves across the island and among her colleagues.
She was assigned to the police commissioner's office.
