JUST IN: St James mother, child murdered at home

A 12-year-old high school student and his mother were murdered at their Tucker, St James home during a pre-dawn attack by gunmen on Wednesday.

Reports are that about 2:52, the mother, her son and two other family members were at home when gunmen kicked open their door and opened fire on the two.

The other two occupants of the house were not harmed.

The mother and her son were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Police are yet to establish a motive for the attack.
