Police question Mobay businessman in arson attack that killed St Ann sisters

The St Ann police have questioned a St James businessman whose cash was said to have been stolen by a man who was being sought by collectors who allegedly burnt two sisters to death in St Ann just over a week ago.
Dead are: 57-year-old Paulette James, also called Lou and her sister, a deaf/mute 59-year- old Janet James, also called Frances, both of Cross Roads, Keith in St Ann.
The two were burnt to death Sunday morning, April 24 at their home.
Reports are that the men threw a bottle bomb into the house where the sisters lived after a man they were searching for in the pre-dawn hours fled in the direction of the house.
It later emerged the man had not entered the house.
He was being sought to return money he had reportedly stolen from the businessman. Police sources have said the money reportedly stolen by the man was up to $2 million.
Police had taken into protective custody the man who allegedly stole the money. However, police released him last week and warned him that for his own safety, he should not return to the Cross Roads or Keith communities.
Police said they should be able to identify the two arsonists with the help of the businessman they took into custody.
