Two young children killed in house fire in Kingston

Two children, ages eight and four, were burnt to death when fire gutted a 10 bedroom house close to Studio One Boulevard in Kingston on Wednesday morning.

Close to 15 other persons were left homeless as a result of the fire.

Reports are that, at about 4:30am, persons saw smoke coming from a house located in the tenement yard and raised an alarm.

Fire fighters were quick on the scene but were unable to save the children.

Grief-stricken relatives of the deceased ran through the streets crying out when they discovered the children's fate.

The entire house was destroyed.
