Merciless beaten with piece of iron, wrist broken

Dancehall artiste Merciless will be seeking additional treatment on Wednesday after an attack by an iron-wielding assailant left him with bruises, cuts and a broken wrist.

The attack allegedly occurred on Monday afternoon when the 44 year-old deejay was at a mechanic shop in Free Town, Clarendon.

Eyewitnesses say that the deejay was approached by an unknown man who proceeded to severely beat him with a piece of iron, eventually breaking the deejay's wrist. 

The deejay, whose real name is Leonard Bartley, was reportedly taken to the May Pen police station where the incident was reported.

The May Pen police have confirmed the incident.
