Wisynco vows to bounce back stronger

Wisynco Group Ltd has pledged to rebuild stronger as it said thanks for the outpouring of support following a fire last week that gutted its massive warehouse in Lakes Pen, St Catherine.
“The management and staff… would like to express their gratitude and deep appreciation for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support in the wake of the fire at our distribution centre on Thursday, May 26,” the company said in newspaper advertisements on Sunday.
“You have given us the strength we will need to rebuild in the weeks and months ahead,” it said.
The company said it has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, and that it has “weathered many storms” prior to the fire.
“We are strong, proud Jamaican people and with God, family and work as our anchors we will go forward stronger,” it said.
The fire which burned into Friday, started around 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
The company said it will need to security temporary facilities while it constructs a new distribution hub. The factory is running at full capacity, the comapny said.
“However, we will need to build up our stock from zero inventory. Please be patient with us as we work assiduously to get our local production back to 100 per cent,” the company said.
