St Mary schoolboy stabbed to death by classmate identified


The police have identified the Grade 10 male student who was stabbed to death, while going home, by another school boy on Monday evening, May 9.
He is 16-year-old Rushane Murray of Tower Isle in St Mary.
Reports from the Oracabessa Police are that about 5:30 pm, Murray was on his way from school near the vicinity of the police station, when he and another student had a dispute.
The dispute allegedly became physical and a knife was used to stab Murray.
He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Two other students, also from Oracabessa High School, were taken in custody in relation to the incident. They have not been charged in relation to the incident as police investigations are ongoing.
