Million-dollar ganja seizure in Half Way Tree

Detectives from the Half Way Tree Police Station seized 270 pounds of ganja during a special operation in the Kingston 10 area of St Andrew between Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28.

In the first incident, between the hours of 4pm and midnight, an operation was carried out on Kew Road, Kingston 10 where premises were searched and approximately 70 pounds of ganja were seized.

On Tuesday, June 28, another operation was carried out on Fidel Close, Kingston 10 between 4pm and midnight, where approximately 200 pounds of ganja were seized.

The estimated street value of the illicit drug is approximately $1.3 million.

No one was arrested in connection with the find, however the police have indicated that their investigations will continue.
